Forest & biodiversity protection & monitoring

Activities are conducted in order to achieve and/or maintain two main objectives of the collaborative conservation program: (1) To reduce the direct threats and pressures to forest and riparian buffer (Objective 1) and (2) To improve the quality of forest and riparian buffer (Objective 2).

● Delineation and demarcation: Dumaring Village Forest

● Delineation and demarcation: Patiraja Customary Land

● Delineation: Riparian buffers of five main rivers in Dumaring Village

● Land cover change analysis regular monitoring (six-monthly)

● Participatory forest and biodiversity monitoring & reporting (quarterly)

● Participatory environmental services monitoring & reporting (quarterly)

● Village Forest/Customary Land/Riparian Buffer zoning

● Combined forest patrolling with KPH Berau Pantai and Talisayan District Police Command (quarterly)
