Community capacity building

Activities are conducted in order to achieve and/or maintain three main objectives of the collaborative conservation program: (1) To develop the community capacity in forest conservation, sustainable use of natural resources and ecosystem services and community enterprise in and/or from forest and riparian buffer (Objective 4), (2) To promote sustainable use of natural resources and ecosystem services in and/or from forest and riparian buffer (Objective 3) and (3) To maximize the benefits of the high quality forest and riparian buffer to achieve the welfare of the communities (Objective 6).

● Training on basic knowledge and skill: GIS, remote sensing, and mapping

● Training on basic knowledge and skill: environmental services monitoring

● Training on basic knowledge and skill: drone operation for monitoring and surveillance

● Training on basic knowledge and skill: biodiversity monitoring and reporting for wild animals

● Training on basic knowledge and skill: biodiversity monitoring and reporting for wild plants

● Participatory Action Research (PAR) on socio-economy

● Participatory Action Research (PAR) on socio-cultural

● Participatory Action Research (PAR) on threats to forests and rivers

● Participatory workshop for developing species conservation action plan

● Participatory workshop for developing Village Forest/Customary Land/Riparian Buffer zoning

● Participatory workshop for updating Village Development Plan of Dumaring Village (Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Kampung-RPJMK)

● Participatory monitoring & reporting on socio-economy of the local community

● Participatory monitoring & reporting on socio-cultural of the local community
